Our Team

Stuart Slater

Director & Wealth Planner

Stuart is the co-founder and co-director of Slone Capital. An Engineering Graduate from the University of Portsmouth, Stuart established Slone Capital after 10 years working in the insurance and investment space.

Based on his experiences he saw the need for a less formal, more client focused business model and set about redefining the stuffy outdated behaviours of the industry. When he’s not working, he likes to be outdoors with his young family or escaping to the Alps as and when he can get away.

Peter O’Neill

Director & Wealth Planner

Pete, co-director of Slone Capital, amassed over 20 years consultant and management experience in the insurance industry before deciding to step off the corporate ladder and turn his Irish charms to co-founding Slone Capital.

He is passionate about delivering value throughout the guidance process and leaving clients with a clearer understanding of their wealth. Outside of work he likes to spend time with family and friends, enjoying breaks wherever possible at the family home on the Norfolk coast.

Amy Claxton

Business Manager & Senior Paraplanner

Amy is our business manager and senior paraplanner. She has been a member of the Slone Capital team since February 2018 and has been integral in the development of our slick systems and processes. Prior to joining us, Amy achieved a BSc in Economics from the University of East Anglia and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Development Management from the Open University. Amy now holds a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is currently working towards Chartered status.

Outside of work, Amy can usually be found with her nose in a book or enjoying good food with family and friends. Her favourite place to be is in the mountains, either hiking in the Lake District or skiing in the Alps.

Lisa Boreham

Practice & Compliance Manager

As our practice & compliance manager, Lisa ensures our business is efficient and compliant, allowing the team to focus on their core roles. With a background in outsourced payroll, she has a strong eye for detail and is currently working towards her diploma in financial planning.

In addition to working at Slone Capital, Lisa’s other passions are fitness and nutrition, as well as coffee and wine, though not necessarily in that order.

Owen Wright

Account Manager & Trainee Paraplanner

Owen joins us as a graduate from Nottingham University and is our account manager and trainee paraplanner. With an interest in all things tech, he also keeps our online content sharp. Owen’s aspirations are to build on the foundation of his finance degree and forge a career in financial services.

Outside of work Owen is a keen footballer and cricketer. He also enjoys spending time abroad and experiencing new cultures.

Brodie

Dog

Brodie is our office dog and joins us from a litter of 6. Whilst not being particularly strong in any aspect of financial planning, he uses his waggy tail to strike up conversations with strangers in coffee shops, whether you want them or not. A career in client acquisition and networking awaits, until then he is focussed on improving his walk/life balance.
